Aliante is a niche investment Holding Company focusing on the Italian Food&Beverage SMEs with a medium-long term industrial view.
During the first quarter of 2012, Aliante Partners launched its third investment vehicle (Aliante Equity 3), which will be focused on five industrial platforms with aggregated estimated revenues in excess of €200mln and more than 16% of EBITDA margin. Aliante Equity 3 completed its first investment purchasing a 55% stake of the second Italian producer of long life bread (after Barilla) with revenues of €65mln and 18.5% of EBITDA margin.
Aliante Equity 3 fund raising commenced in January 2012; first closing is due by the end of second quarter having reached €60mln of capitalization. Fund raising will last additional 18 months, with a target of€120mln.
Aliante’s activity is focused on investments in Italian SMEs mainly operating in the Food&Beverage sector. Leveraging its consolidated presence on the Italian market, Aliante aims to consolidate industrial platforms through a buy & build strategy, and in particular, five different strategies in relative sub-sectors. Among these the second Italian producer of long-life bread, with revenues in excess of Euro 200 millions and 16% EBITDA margin.
